Michigan Just Became the Loudest Senate Race in America
Every Senate race is open three days before Election Day, but only one is suddenly trading like it might flip the map. Michigan's Senate market did $1.0M in the last 24 hours on Polymarket, 4.2 times its own daily average, the biggest surge of any market on the board.
Abdul El-Sayed leads it at 80% on Polymarket and 76% on Kalshi, with Republican Mike Rogers at 21 to 24 cents depending on the venue. A two-venue race with a four-point spread between exchanges is exactly the kind of gap that pulls in fresh money, and the volume says it is working.
Michigan is one of 35 Senate races and 311 tradeable midterm contracts tracked into Tuesday. Most of them are priced and quiet. This one is priced and getting louder by the hour, which usually means traders think the public picture and the market picture are about to meet.
Watch the close. If the Kalshi-Polymarket gap narrows before Tuesday, the surge was information. If it widens, it was noise with a budget.
