Seahawks priced at 60c to beat the Broncos on Thursday Night Football on Kalshi, with Denver at 41c

Sports Illustrated's trending Kalshi NFL list for Week 6, kicking off Oct. 15, also puts Seattle -2.5 at 55c — a matchup not featured in any earlier edition today, in a…

Seattle is favored over Denver in Kalshi’s Thursday Night Football markets, with Seahawks winner contracts priced at 60¢ and Broncos contracts at 41¢ in Sports Illustrated’s Week 6 coverage. The matchup opens the NFL’s Week 6 schedule on Oct. 15, 2026, at 8:15 p.m. ET.

The spread market also leans toward Seattle: Seahawks -2.5 contracts are listed at 55¢, according to Sports Illustrated. That contract concerns Seattle’s winning margin, rather than simply whether the team wins.

A dated snapshot ahead of kickoff

Sports Illustrated says it checked NFL contract prices against official Kalshi market pages on Oct. 13, 2026. The figures therefore represent a pregame snapshot, not verified live prices on Thursday; both pricing and market availability can change before kickoff.

Seattle’s advantage is smaller than those of two other Week 6 favorites highlighted by the outlet. Kansas City winner contracts are listed at 79¢ and San Francisco at 78¢. Jacksonville is priced at 57¢ against Houston, while Green Bay stands at 54¢ against Dallas in Sunday Night Football. The Texans-Jaguars Over 42.5 contract is listed at 51¢.

Player markets offer a separate view

For Seahawks-Broncos, Sports Illustrated reports an anytime-touchdown Yes price of around 47¢ for Jaxon Smith-Njigba and 36¢ for J.K. Dobbins. Barner and Nix are listed at approximately 20¢ and 18¢, respectively. Those touchdown prices were also checked on Oct. 13, 2026.

First-touchdown contracts put Emanuel Wilson at 15¢, Smith-Njigba at 14¢ and Dobbins at 12¢. Kalshi also offers contracts on 2+ touchdowns and, for some players, 3+ touchdowns, giving participants distinct outcomes to trade beyond the game result.

What it means for prediction markets

  • Seattle leads, but is not an overwhelming favorite. A 60¢ contract roughly corresponds to a 60% market-implied probability, rather than a forecast of certainty.
  • Winning and covering are different outcomes. Seattle’s 60¢ winner price and 55¢ price at -2.5 reflect separate settlement conditions.
  • Timing matters. The reported prices were checked on Oct. 13, 2026; they should not be treated as live quotes for Oct. 15.
  • Prices are not payouts. Winning contracts settle at $1 and losing contracts at $0. Applicable fees affect net returns, and positions may be sold before settlement while trading remains available.

Polymarket's Ethiopia and Romania election markets rack up over $600M largely after the races were decided

Quiet quarter-hour — no significant new platform headline in the last 15 minutes, so this fresh integrity report leads, in a notable-trades category different from the…

Election volume draws integrity scrutiny

Two Polymarket election markets covering Ethiopia and Romania recorded more than $600 million in trading volume, with much of that activity occurring after the contests had been decided, according to WIRED reporting summarized by infobets.com.

The activity was concentrated largely in contracts tied to long-shot candidates who lost. That distinction matters for readers assessing the totals: heavy trading after a known result is not the same as substantial participation in forecasting an uncertain election.

Account activity remains unexplained

Researcher Chris Park traced $284 million of the Ethiopia market’s volume to pairs of accounts trading with one another, according to the infobets.com account of WIRED’s reporting. The finding raises questions about how much of the reported turnover represented genuine wagers rather than reciprocal trading.

Polymarket blocked the accounts involved, the report said. It has not explained why those accounts traded so extensively before the restrictions were imposed.

The report leaves an important distinction unresolved: unusually large turnover does not, by itself, establish broad participation or meaningful disagreement about an outcome. Nor does the material provided establish how much the flagged activity affected prices.

For prediction-market readers, the immediate issue is therefore the interpretation of market data. The reported totals describe trading activity, but the timing and account patterns make them a questionable standalone measure of public expectations.

What it means for prediction markets

  • Volume needs context. More than $600 million across the two markets should not be read as an equivalent amount of genuine pre-result forecasting activity.
  • Account patterns matter. Park’s finding links $284 million of Ethiopia-market turnover to reciprocal trades between pairs of accounts, raising concerns about the composition of reported volume.
  • Enforcement leaves questions open. The accounts were blocked, but an explanation of their earlier activity remains outstanding.
  • Price effects are not established. The reporting raises integrity concerns without quantifying any distortion in the markets’ odds.
