Polymarket Moves In: Phemex Puts Prediction Markets Inside the Exchange
Prediction markets no longer ask traders to come to them. Phemex, a cryptocurrency exchange, launched a Prediction Market feature today, November 2, built on Polymarket infrastructure — binary event contracts inside the same account its users already trade from, with no separate wallet and no gas fees, settled in USDT.
The first board is short-horizon crypto: YES or NO positions on the price moves of Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and HYPE, across windows from five minutes to four hours. Shares settle at $1 or $0 against published criteria, positions can be traded before resolution, and markets resolve automatically — the full prediction-market machine, compressed into a trading app's side tab.
The design choice matters more than the asset list. Every embedded launch removes the two steps that kept event contracts niche: funding a new venue and learning a new interface. The balance, the login and the habits are already there; the contract is just one more instrument on the screen.
Phemex is the second distribution deal in four days. On October 30, mobile brokerage Aries put ForecastEx contracts on the 2026 midterms, economic data and financial markets inside its app — a different pipe, a CFTC-regulated exchange instead of Polymarket's rails, but the same strategy: meet traders where their money already sits.
The fight for 2027 is over the front door. The big exchanges keep the deepest books, but the embedded venues are competing on access and speed — and a five-minute Bitcoin contract inside an app a trader already opens every day is a hard product to out-advertise.
