NEXTPredict forecasts put media-brand trading at 53% by June 2028
Research ahead of the Oct. 22-23 summit puts Kalshi cultural programmes through 2027 at 65%.
Research published ahead of NEXTPredict in New York on 22 and 23 October 2026 assigns a 53% probability that eligible US adults will be able to trade through Hollywood.com’s branded interface without an invitation by 30 June 2028, according to noah-news.com. The estimate is 42% for 30 June 2027, against an invitation-only starting point.
Distribution advances, with conditions attached
The Hollywood.com forecast requires users to open or connect an account and complete a real-money event-contract trade through the branded interface. A referral link, simulated trade or display of market prices would not qualify. Noah supplies uncertainty ranges of 25–62% for the 2027 estimate and 30–72% for 2028; these are research forecasts, not quoted market prices.
The distribution arrangements extend beyond Hollywood.com, whose entertainment prediction market is powered by Crypto.com. According to noah-news.com, ICE, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, has agreed to invest up to $2 billion in Polymarket and distributes its data. Tradeweb provides Kalshi prices to institutional clients, while Dow Jones has agreed to incorporate Polymarket data into The Wall Street Journal.
Cultural support is not an adoption measure
Noah assigns a 65% probability that Kalshi’s official documentation will list Rotten Tomatoes and Album Equivalents as active incentivised series by 30 June 2027, with both running through at least 31 December 2027. That is a reviewed estimate, increased from 19%, rather than a newly calculated forecast. The condition concerns documented programme support, not executable market depth, and a subsequent withdrawal would not reverse an already qualifying result.
A separate forecast puts the probability of a newly announced official entertainment outcome-data agreement reaching documented US settlement use by 31 December 2027 at 25%. Noah also gives an 18% probability that non-sports contracts account for at least 20% of Kalshi’s traded contract units during 2027. Because that category includes politics, economics and weather, it does not isolate entertainment demand.
Editorial ownership and revenue face higher hurdles
The research assigns an 11.5% probability that one of fourteen specified newsrooms completes an independent forecasting series by 31 December 2028: twelve consecutive weekly editions, each offering its own numerical probabilities for at least five unresolved news events. Exchange sponsorship, referrals or trade execution during the series would disqualify it. A separate creator-hosted, platform-co-produced programme completing 24 qualifying weeks receives an 18% probability by 31 December 2027 and the same estimate by 31 December 2028.
Commercial disclosure receives still lower probabilities. Noah gives a 7% chance that one of nine specified major media issuers separately reports at least US$10 million in annual prediction-market commercial revenue by 31 March 2029. It assigns 4.5% to a qualifying operator disclosure of a named acquisition channel’s conversion, retention of at least 90 days and acquisition economics by 15 April 2028. Noah Predict sells forecasting services to publishers, a commercial interest the outlet discloses.
What it means for prediction markets
- Resolution wording matters: The 53% forecast concerns completed trading through Hollywood.com, not media-brand trading generally or the availability of price widgets.
- Infrastructure is distinct from demand: The 65% Kalshi estimate tests programme documentation. Neither that outcome nor an entertainment-data agreement establishes customer adoption.
- Disclosure tests have an extra hurdle: The revenue and acquisition forecasts require qualifying public reporting, not merely underlying business activity.
- Deadlines are not launch predictions: June 2028 is the first tested Hollywood.com horizon above 50%; it does not identify an exact expected opening date.
