- Polymarket investors made CEO Shayne Coplan repay private-jet and rent spending and now push for a chief operating officer, Dealroom reports — Bloomberg reported on October 20 that Founders Fund due diligence in 2025 found chief executive Shayne Coplan had used company money for private jet flights, apartment rent and other personal expenses when Polymarket had no revenue, and made its investment conditional on repayment and stronger financial controls. Coplan repaid the money and the deal closed at a valuation of about 1.2 billion dollars, while Intercontinental Exchange and Founders Fund have since recommended he hire a chief operating officer, a step not yet taken.
