Bill DeMora is calling for prediction markets to be regulated under state sports betting laws after the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals said platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket can be regulated that way. In a statement released Oct. 15, DeMora said the decision solidifies that prediction markets are not exempt from Ohio law and that Ohio is losing tens of millions of dollars every month by not regulating the sites.
