- Ohio cracks down on prediction markets as they flood elections with cash — Following a federal appeals court ruling, the Ohio Casino Control Commission on Oct. 2 sent cease-and-desist letters to 10 companies including Polymarket, Robinhood and Coinbase, calling their sports event contracts illegal sports betting operating without state permits.
