- Michigan court grants preliminary injunction blocking Kalshi event contracts for state residents, BitRss reports — BitRss reported Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said the Circuit Court for the 30th Judicial Circuit in Ingham County approved a preliminary injunction barring Kalshi from offering event contracts to Michigan residents, following a June temporary restraining order. Kalshi could face penalties of up to 500,000 dollars per day for violating the order, while New Jersey has separately moved to ask the US Supreme Court to weigh in on the jurisdictional dispute.
