Three days before Election Day on November 3, the biggest move on the midterm board is not in a marquee state. In Kansas, the Democrat in the Senate race climbed from 40% to 51% in seven days on Kalshi, an 11-point jump that DeFi Rate ranks as the largest Senate move of the week. At 51 cents to 50 cents, a race traders had priced as Republican is now a coin flip that broke the other way.
That one flip is why the chamber numbers keep rising. Averaging Kalshi and Polymarket, DeFi Rate puts Democrats at 70% to take the Senate and 94% to win the House, with traders putting $24 million into election markets in the past 24 hours. Kalshi alone prices Senate control at 68% and House control at 93%, across 311 tradeable midterm contracts covering 35 Senate races and 66 competitive House districts.
The path still runs through the same states. Democrats need a net gain of four Senate seats, and DeFi Rate notes the 51st seat runs through Maine, where Troy Jackson is at 69%. Texas has moved with Kansas: James Talarico is at 71%, up 6 points in a week. Michigan's Abdul El-Sayed is at 75%, also up 6, and Minnesota's Democrat rose from 84% to 90%.
The tightest board is Iowa, where Ashley Hinson leads Josh Turek 56 cents to 45, on 7.9 million contracts traded. And the balance-of-power combo, the single bet on who controls both chambers, has traded 77.8 million contracts with 60.9 million still open. Three days out, the House looks priced in. Kansas is the reminder that the Senate is not.
