- Goldman Sachs notes prediction market monthly volume surged from about 5 billion dollars a year ago to 78 billion dollars as retail stock trading cooled, BigGo Finance reports — A Goldman Sachs research note reported by BigGo Finance said monthly prediction market trading volume rose from about 5 billion dollars a year ago to 78 billion dollars, even as US retail stock trading fell about 20 percent from the summer and 45 percent from the end of 2025 to about 9 percent of total stock volume. Strategist Ben Snider said speculative retail money has flowed into prediction markets, stock options and leveraged ETFs, though those venues remain small next to overall stock trading.
