- CFTC sets December 15 public roundtable on 24/7 derivatives trading, tokenization and overnight risk, CryptoBriefing reports — CryptoBriefing reports the CFTC, the federal regulator for Kalshi and Polymarket US event contracts, will hold a public roundtable on December 15 at its Washington headquarters, livestreamed, to examine whether derivatives markets could run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Announced on October 28 and following a Request for Comment issued over the summer, the session covers overnight trading, tokenization and infrastructure and staffing, focuses mainly on traditional derivatives rather than digital-asset products, and creates no new rules on its own.
