- CFTC preparing crackdown on prediction market promotions over misleading incentives, GambleRss reports — GambleRss, citing Front Office Sports, reported the CFTC is conducting a sweep of incentive programs offered by prediction market platforms over concerns some promotions are misleading, with an action of some kind expected by the end of the week. The regulator issued an advisory in August reminding companies that incentive programs require filings and flagging offers such as risk-free trades, unlimited rebates and guaranteed profits, and platforms including Kalshi, Polymarket and Novig offer incentives that could draw attention.
