- CFTC files Sixth Circuit amicus backing Kalshi in Ohio sports contracts dispute — The CFTC filed an amicus brief in the Sixth Circuit backing Kalshi in its appeal after Ohio told the platform last year to halt sports event contracts as unlicensed gambling and a district court denied an injunction in March. Chairman Mike Selig said the district court took an improperly narrow view of CFTC jurisdiction, in the agency's second circuit court backing of an operator after a February filing for Crypto.com in Nevada.
